2008 has finally come and what a challenge it was to get here.
A Light-O-Rama (LOR) has been a dream for Steven and I for two years now. It all started back in 2006 when I came home and asked Steven “You think we could get this display down to 16 extension cords?”
Just to get our feet wet in the whole synchronized light show, we bought a Mr. Christmas unit for the 2007 season. We had a HUGE response to that, which got us really excited to buy our first LOR controller in February. We thought out dream goal had been met... we now have 16 Channels, right?
Wrong! It slowly grew to 32 channels, then 48 and finally we ended 2008 with 4 LOR units. (64 Channels)
After Months of programming, arguing, and pre-construction ... we are now able to use our 64 Channels. We have a lot of components.
Some of those new things include:
- Light-O-Rama
- 7 Mini Trees
- 17 FT Mega Tree
- Double colored roof as well as the arches
- More LED’s (2 deer, a stick tree, double coloring, blue bushes)
- FM Transmitter... We are now on 102.1 FM
- A complete new layout and display
